This week on #BlockchainCentral: In part two of our series on Digital Identity, it’s time to explore the concept of the #blockchain supply chain and see how digital identity is managed for companies looking to blockchain as an addition to their current supply chain management toolkit.
We saw many players emerging from the blockchain supply chain industry in the last two years, such as VeChain and WaltonChain, but now we are starting to see larger, established companies such as Walmart and Nestle are beginning to explore blockchain-based supply chain management solutions.
Additionally, Carrefour and IBM are working together using IBM’s Food Trust network to create a specially designed Carrefour blockchain solution that provides the end consumer an array of details from the product’s journey through the #supplychain.
These companies are all aiming to find a way cost-effective, accurate and efficient method that solves a variety of issues currently existing in the journey of their products from producer to consumer.
